Great project to use up that extra yardage you purchased but didn’t need after all. Also great for repurposing old curtains, tablecloths or bed linens. Of course you can purchase new yardage for this project if you’d like. These are best used as gift bags for light weight items and are made from a single layer of fabric.  So use heavy cotton, denim, or canvas to support cans, glass, and other heavy grocery items if you’re going to use it for that purpose. Be sure if you’re recycling older fabrics that you’re using areas that are sturdy and not worn.
